Studios are by appointment only, though walk-ins are welcome when the walk-in sign is out. Appointments can be booked online or by texting the studio. A fairy hair visit usually takes about 5 to 30 minutes depending on strand count, and most guests spend roughly $20 to $80 or more depending on how many strands they choose.

Boho Bar works like a shop: clients browse an in-stock wall of braids, dreads, wraps, beads, charms and feathers, and a stylist installs the chosen pieces in about 30 minutes to 2 hours. Boho Hair can also be custom-designed to match current color, length and style, and it can be installed by braid-in, bead-in or clip-in.

Dreadlock services use a crochet method with no wax or twist gel. They cover permanent crochet dreadlocks, temporary braid or bead-in dreads, clip-in dreads, dread ponytails called Dread Ponies, maintenance, and washes and detoxes, in human hair or synthetic options. Dreadlock consultations can be held in person or by phone.

Groups can book back-to-back studio appointments or a private party. For private parties the team travels to homes, venues, hotels, studios or outdoor locations with its supplies, within a 40-mile radius of the studios.

The studio's methods are built to be quick and gentle on natural hair. Fairy hair is tied on without glue, beads or braiding, dreadlock installs use no wax or twist gel, and the business describes its installs as taking minutes and its pieces as reusable.

Studios are filled with plants and sparkle, and the Leesburg studio has a fairy garden patio behind it.
