About

The practice has three offices. The central Austin office is at 12201 Renfert Way, in Medical Oaks Pavilion 1 (also known as Renaissance Women's Center), and its phone number is (512) 501-1010. Patients enter through the corner entrance near the front right corner of the building, and the practice is the first suite. That office sits beside The Domain, with its hotels, restaurants and shopping. The Westlake office is at 102 Westlake Dr, Suite 100, Austin, with phone (512) 693-2252, and the Fredericksburg office is at 751 S Washington St.

The cosmetic surgery menu covers the eyelids, brow, face and neck: upper, lower and Asian blepharoplasty, eyelid revision, canthoplasty, endoscopic and standard brow or forehead lifts, buccal fat removal, cosmetic, mid- and mini-facelifts, neck lift, facial fat transfer and scar revision after trauma or surgery. Corrective surgery after complications from earlier facial surgery is also offered. The practice describes its surgeons as accomplished and respected oculofacial plastic surgeons, and says its team has performed thousands of blepharoplasties.

The medical spa offers neuromodulator injections (Botox, Dysport and Xeomin), dermal fillers, Sculptra, Kybella for fat below the chin and upper neck, a liquid facelift, lip contouring and tear trough treatment. Skin work includes Lumenis Acupulse fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing, a TCA peel, PiXel8 RF microneedling and skin care options. Lash treatments include Latisse and Lash Boost. Botox results usually last three to five months, and the practice notes that Botox pricing depends on the provider and the amount of product used, so no fixed price is listed.

Reconstructive care treats eyelid, tear duct (lacrimal), orbital and facial conditions, including dry eye, eyelid ptosis, ectropion and entropion, eyelid cancer with Mohs surgery, thyroid eye disease, orbital and facial trauma repair, and tearing disorders. Pediatric patients are seen too. Procedures are planned for each patient and may be done in the office or under general anesthesia.

Before any procedure, each patient meets with the practice for an initial consultation to agree on a treatment plan. New patient forms go out ahead of that visit, and the surgeons may ask for photographs to review beforehand. Patients who live outside Austin can arrange a phone or video consultation instead. Patients are asked to stop taking blood thinners two weeks before surgery. Anyone planning laser resurfacing should avoid sun exposure for a minimum of eight weeks prior. Kybella is not suitable for patients who have previously had an infection in the area to be treated. Payments toward balances can be made through an online patient portal.

The practice accepts several insurance carriers in network, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, BCBS, Medicare Part B and Medicaid (Traditional). Wellmed (HMO) is in network and requires a referral, and Tricare West is in network, where a referral may be required. Upper blepharoplasty may be covered by insurance or Medicare when it causes visual obstruction along with other symptoms, and coverage is decided at consultation.

Uses minimally invasive, endoscopic and laser techniques, with a personalized plan for each patient, which the practice says shorten surgery time and recovery and reduce scarring.

The central Austin office sits beside The Domain's hotels, restaurants and shopping.
