The salon was established in 1998 by owner Melissa Schafer as a full-service salon known for color, cuts and perms. It moved to its current location in the fall of 2004, when it also became a salon and day spa, and the facility was expanded in 2005. The building is a renovated farmhouse, about 175 years old, on three landscaped acres in Center Township, Beaver County.

Hair color is a major part of the menu. Options run from all-over color and partial foil highlights to cap frost, double process color, all-over foil highlights and hi and lo-lights. Balayage, corrective color and ombre are priced after a consultation. Long hair adds $20 to color, highlights and perms. Cuts, shampoo and set, up-dos, spiral curls, design wraps and perms round out the hair services.

The massage menu includes chair massage by the minute, a stress relief back and neck massage, raindrop, reflexology, prenatal, Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone massage. Most massages are offered in 30, 60 or 90 minute lengths. The massage beds are heated, and clients can ask for a male or female technician when booking. Massage body butters are handmade with herbs and essential oils, and robes, slippers and a wrap for under the robe are provided. Nail care, paraffin facial services and spray tanning are also available.

Clients are asked to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early. Appointments are timed precisely, so a late arrival may mean a shorter service. Gratuities are not included in service prices and cannot be added to a credit card. Gift cards can be bought for services, packages, retail items or set amounts, expire one year from purchase, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Children must be supervised at all times and those under 12 are not permitted on the upper floor. Payment is accepted by cash, personal check, VISA and Mastercard.
