Excellent Electrolysis is run by Danie Hatcher, who works as the owner and electrologist. The studio offers electrolysis to male and female clients, with treatment available for the face and ears, underarms, upper body, legs and feet, and for teens.

Electrolysis works by inserting a fine probe into each hair follicle and sending a short current through it to destroy the cells that grow the hair. The business says the method is FDA-approved as permanent hair removal. Each follicle has its own growth cycle, so a single pulse may not be enough; depending on hormones, medications and past hair removal, a follicle may need two, three or more pulses.

Most clients come in about every two weeks for roughly six to eight months, after which growth typically begins to taper. According to the business, full completion usually takes one and a half to two years. Visits can be arranged around a client's schedule and budget, though the business advises no more than two weeks between appointments.

Before a visit, clients are asked not to trim or shave for two days, since about 3mm of growth is needed for treatment. Between appointments they should avoid tweezing, waxing, threading and epilating. The business also recommends drinking plenty of water, especially the day before and the day of treatment, because it says hydrated skin conducts the current better.
