Exaria Waxing

Exaria Waxing is a body waxing studio located in Suite 30 of Salontra Select Suites at 10200 Grand Central Avenue in Owings Mills, Maryland. Its services are grouped into body, face, intimate, bundled, and model waxing.

The studio works with a hard wax that is formulated for sensitive skin. Before an appointment, clients are asked to prepare their skin: hair should be about a quarter inch long, tanning, sun exposure, and self-tanners should be avoided for one to two days beforehand, and the area should be exfoliated gently the day before.

On the day of the appointment, clients are asked to skip caffeine and alcohol, which can heighten sensitivity, and to avoid lotions, oils, and deodorant on the waxing area. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.

After waxing, some redness, minor swelling, tenderness, slight bleeding or pinpoint spotting, mild irritation, temporary bumps, or warm, tight skin can occur. These typically settle within one to two days, though they may last longer depending on how sensitive a person's skin is.

The studio uses a hard wax made for sensitive skin and gives clients specific preparation steps to follow before and on the day of their visit.
