Event Braids Bar is a mobile braids and beauty bar set up for kids' parties and private events. The team comes to the host's location with all supplies and colors, handles setup through cleanup, and has artists arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to get the station ready.

The business grew out of founder Yulia's work as a braider. She started braiding hair at festivals, and a company later invited her to braid at a children's birthday party, which led to starting Event Braids Bar.

Events served include birthdays, bat mitzvahs, sleepovers, corporate events, festivals, school events and brand activations. Service areas include La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Chula Vista, Escondido and other parts of San Diego, and the business also travels to Irvine, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach in Orange County. A travel fee may apply to places more than 25 miles from 92111, and rates for those areas are quoted on inquiry.

Braids Bar packages for one artist start at $255 for 1.5 hours, and two-artist setups start at $480 for 1.5 hours. Hair tinsel is priced separately, and optional upgrades include temporary tattoos, a color hair spray for boys and a hair tinsel bar.

Guests choose their braid style and extension colors from a menu and can watch the braiding as it happens.
