The salon describes itself as Houston's boutique hair and skin care center. It has two addresses: the salon and spa on Hazard St, and a Westheimer Rd location listed under the name Estilo Home, which also sells hand-picked home pieces with an emphasis on natural elements and distinctive textures. The salon says it has been featured in Allure, Modern Luxury, Paper City and City Book.

Estilo aims to go beyond typical salon standards and offer a bespoke experience. Each service is shaped around the client's own vision and needs, worked out as a partnership between the client and the stylist. New clients are invited to a complimentary consultation to talk through hair condition, goals and recommended services before booking.

Hair services are grouped into Cutting & Styling, Color and Treatments. Haircuts include a blow-dry and style unless otherwise specified. Color is offered a la carte and does not include a blow-dry, which can be added when booking with the front desk coordinator. Color Correction is priced individually, and prices may change based on each client's needs.

The Hazard St interiors have a clean, elegant feel, with natural seagrass rugs, large cement vessels from San Miguel de Allende and living vines. Co-owners Mario Tort and Vanessa Tort-Pagel run the business together, with Mario leading hair and Vanessa leading skin care.

Services are customized to each client's vision and needs, shaped through a partnership between the client and the stylist.
