Esthetique Daveed works out of Sola Salon on Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. The business is a solo skincare practice, so the esthetician handles each visit personally.
A typical visit opens with a skin consultation, followed by a treatment that includes a deep cleanse, microdermabrasion and extractions. The session closes with a conversation about how the skin responded and a home routine suited to it.
Services are tailored to each client's skin rather than picked from a fixed list. The menu moves from a classic facial with a light peel and custom masque, to a red LED and jelly mask facial, to hydrating and oxygen-infused facials, plus targeted treatments for specific concerns.
Clients are asked to arrive with no makeup if possible, at least 10 minutes early, and with their phones silenced. Afterward, they are asked to avoid tanning for 24 to 48 hours, avoid exfoliation and home masks for about two days, wait 24 hours before exercise, and skip retinols or topical medications on the face for a day. The business describes facials every four to six weeks as ideal for most clients. Microdermabrasion is booked in two-week series, and LED light therapy in twice-weekly sessions over four weeks. Men are asked not to shave on the day of their appointment, and beards longer than a quarter inch do not receive product in that area.
The studio carries the Hylunia skincare line, which has been developing skin care products since 1988. The formulas include green tea, noni, chrysanthemum, pomegranate and mangosteen antioxidants.
Treatments are customized to each client's skin needs, with a personal plan built during each visit.
