EstheticsByZen works out of a suite inside FaceLove Plastic Surgery on Trans Am Plaza Drive in Oakbrook Terrace. The menu is built around facials, with options from a 30-minute express visit to a 90-minute custom session. Each facial is shaped around the client's skin type, concerns and goals.

A first-time visit is a 60-minute facial that starts with a skin evaluation and ends with a customized treatment and a discussion of at-home products. The 90-minute custom facial adds steam extractions, a custom mask, three massages and Celluma LED light therapy. The 30-minute express facial is shorter and does not include extractions or LED therapy.

Dermaplaning is offered both as a standard Dermaplane Facial, which uses a manual scalpel to remove dead skin and fine vellus hair, and as a shorter 35-minute Express Dermplaning. Microdermabrasion uses a diamond-tipped wand to exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin, and it is not suitable for inflamed or active acne or for sensitive skin such as rosacea or eczema.

Peels are chemical treatments that remove the outer skin layers and can be done on the face, neck and hands. They are not offered to first-time clients, and a post-op kit must be purchased before the appointment. The VI Peel is described as a medical-grade, medium-depth chemical peel for skin tone, texture and clarity.

A retainer secures every appointment and is applied to the service total. Changes or cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and a same-day no-show may be charged 50% of the service cost. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final. The studio is open Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Thursday from 12 PM to 6 PM.
