Essential Beauty is a permanent makeup business focused on brows, lips and lashes, with a Murrieta studio in Salon Republic, Suite 701, and a Temecula studio on Old Town Front Street. Courtney Knecht, the owner and artist, started microblading in August 2021 after training under Kler Rosenberg of Beauty Angels Academy and completing many courses, including trips across the US to learn from other PMU artists.

Every visit begins with a consultation, which is required before any appointment to confirm a client is a suitable candidate. It can be done by phone or in person and includes a price quote for the chosen service. A digital outline of brows or lips costs $15, and that fee is applied to the service if the client books.

Murrieta is open Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Temecula is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm, and is closed Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Microblading and nanoblading require a $50 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of booking. Reschedules or cancellations without 24 hours notice are charged 15 to 20 percent of the service price, and clients may reschedule once. No-shows without a call or text are charged 50 percent of the service price. Up to two guests may attend if requested in advance. Clients should avoid waxing or threading brows in the seven days before a microblading or combo brows appointment. Bookings and questions go to (951) 719 9855, and callers are asked to leave a voicemail or text if no one can answer.

Microblading, combo brows and lip blush need touch-up sessions, since the pigment fades within a few months without them. Clients who already have permanent makeup send a photo of their brows or lips beforehand so the artist can decide whether correction or removal is needed. Clients who had microblading with another artist are booked as new clients and pay the initial service price.

Each client starts with a consultation to decide which brow or lip service fits their goals, aiming for results that enhance natural features.
