Laser hair removal is done on a Lumenis Splendor X system, which has an attached cooling system to keep the skin comfortable during treatment. Light passes through hair pigment and the resulting heat is meant to stop regrowth, so the salon notes that laser does not work on blond, gray or red hair. Prices are set by area, starting at $50 for small areas such as hands, feet or sideburns, with larger areas such as full legs or full back priced higher.
Electrolysis is offered as a separate service and can be used on all skin and hair types and on any body area, including eyebrows. Sessions are priced by time with a 10-minute minimum, from $40 for 10 minutes up to $120 for 60 minutes.
Waxing covers face, arms, legs, stomach, underarms, bikini, Brazilian and full body, with men's eyebrow and back waxing also offered. Hard wax is used on the face, underarms and bikini area, and soft wax on legs, arms, back and chest. The salon does not double-dip wax or threading to reduce the risk of infection or cross-contamination, and it recommends waxing every 30 to 45 days, noting that regrowth slows over time but the results are not permanent. Threading is used for short hairs and is often used for eyebrow shaping.
