Quintana began as an apprentice and later grew into master colorist, educator and color director roles. He has 13 years of experience behind the chair and teaches other stylists, a background that shaped his habit of explaining the reasoning behind formulas and placement to clients.

A visit usually starts with a consultation, an in-depth look at hair history, texture, the everyday routine and the tone and dimension a client wants. Clients can bring a reference photo to start the conversation. Options range from subtle changes like a different tone or added depth to entirely new looks, and clients are encouraged to say what they actually think along the way. A deposit secures the appointment and is applied to the total, with payment due when services are complete.
