Emerald Day Spa Encinitas

Emerald Day Spa has two locations: one on North Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas, and one in a strip center at Bolsa Chica and Heil in Huntington Beach. Both are open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm every day, and walk-ins are welcome, though booking online is recommended.

Online booking lets clients choose the length of the session, the type of massage, their preferred pressure and any add-ons. Clients are asked to tell the therapist how firm they like the pressure. The spa advises against booking a massage when feeling unwell or weak, when very hungry, or directly after a full meal.

The menu is built around massage. Thai massage combines rhythmic stretching with targeted acupressure points, and the Thai COMBO layers that work with Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology and trigger point techniques. Swedish massage is a full-body session focused on the lighter muscle layers, while deep tissue uses slow strokes and sustained pressure on the deeper muscle and connective tissue. Sports massage is also offered.

Therapists receive their foundational training in Thailand and then cross-train in the U.S. to fit American standards, and the spa describes them as licensed. Massage rooms are sound-insulated, and each includes personal robes and an electric massage table. The spa describes itself as a luxury day spa.

Each session is shaped around the client, with length, massage type, pressure and add-ons chosen at booking.

Sound-insulated massage rooms with personal robes and electric tables give each visit a quiet, private setting.
