EmbodyYou Holistic Esthetics is a small holistic esthetics business in Suffield, owned and run by esthetician Shawna Rocheleau. It opens with a skin analysis and exfoliation, followed by a mask made with botanical ingredients from the studio's apothecary. Depending on the client, the facial may also include Reiki, gua sha, facial cupping, lymphatic drainage or light extractions.

The Ayurvedic Elements Facial runs 75 minutes for $140 and begins with a grounding back massage, then a facial oil massage with lymphatic drainage using copper facial spoons. Its products are chosen by hand according to seasonal changes in weather and climate. The Bloom Botanical Facial with LED, priced from $130 for 75 minutes or more, pairs spring botanical extracts with gentle exfoliation, deep hydration and LED light therapy.

Reiki sessions are offered in 30- or 60-minute lengths from $80. The site describes Reiki as an energy healing practice originating in Japan that aims to promote relaxation, healing and balance. Facial add-ons can include crystal chakra balancing, breathwork, sound healing, an intention card pull, and massage of the scalp, shoulders, arms and hands.

The studio is open Tuesday and Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM, and Wednesday and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM; it is closed Monday, Friday and Sunday. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of the appointment by calling (847) 867-4909 to avoid a fee of 50% of the service cost. The same fee applies to no-shows.
