The clinic says it supports Roots Health Clinic and Clean 360, two initiatives that widen access to healthcare for underserved people.

Clinical work is overseen by a Physician Medical Director, who wrote the treatment protocols and runs the clinical side of the practice. That director has studied and trained in laser aesthetic procedures since 1999 and provides training to all staff, with ongoing sessions for the team. The clinic says it is becoming known for its advanced training programs in laser and medical esthetics. Laser treatments are performed by registered nurses, as California law requires for laser specialists. Laser specialists are not paid on commission.

A consultation is required before any procedure, and treatments can often be booked right after it. Pricing is set during a face-to-face consultation with a specialist, and the clinic says most new clients arrive through recommendations from current clients. Packages can be paid in two or three installments, and paying for a package up front earns 5% off. The clinic accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash and HSA cards, and loyalty points return 5% on each dollar spent. Appointments are changed through the online booking system or by phone at 510-451-4747, not through the website contact form.

Treatment plans are individualized. Medi Spa consultations look at each client's goals and may combine injectables, skin rejuvenation and other services.
