ELM Beauty was opened by Lizzie Howard under the name ELM Beauty and Makeup Artistry, and it now operates as a boutique studio at Lake Lamond Road in Conroe. The business states that every person deserves to look and feel their best, and it brings makeup, skin care, waxing and airbrush tanning together under one roof.

The studio is private and relaxed, set up so clients can feel comfortable during treatments. Appointments are booked online through Square, and cancellations or changes need 24 hours' notice. Studio hours run Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, Wednesday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm; the studio is closed Sunday and Monday.

Facials range from a $105 customized option and a $125 signature facial, which uses fruit enzymes and microdermabrasion before hydration, to a 90-minute Luxe Facial at $195 with steam, a Jelly Mask and LED Light Therapy. Advanced treatments include custom chemical peels, a VI Peel, iS Clinical and Skin Better peels, Factor Five growth factor peel, Jet Plasma and microneedling, which is also known as SkinPen or collagen induction therapy. A series of three to six microneedling sessions, about four weeks apart, is recommended. Microneedling, dermaplaning and VI Peel require medical clearance from a Nurse Practitioner under the guidance of the Medical Director. Clearance includes a telehealth call at the time of the appointment and stays valid for 12 months unless health status changes. Clients must disclose their full medical history before treatment, and services may be modified or refused for safety and to comply with Texas law. Results vary by individual.

Makeup, lash and brow services, and airbrush tanning are also available, including special occasion and wedding makeup (wedding inquiries go through the contact form for a custom quote), makeup lessons, and on-location options for events and homes. Waxing is offered for the face and body, and a facial membership includes a personalized facial and monthly brow shaping, 10% off retail products and airbrush tans for $25.

Advanced treatments begin with a medical clearance process, and facial services are tailored to the client's concerns where the menu allows.
