The washes come in three tiers. The Essential Wash is a 30-minute wash with a scalp cleanse, a conditioning treatment and a neck and scalp massage. The Detox Wash runs 40 minutes and adds an exfoliating scalp treatment with a warm steam bath along with a neck massage. The Signature Wash is a 60-minute treatment that includes a dandruff scalp treatment, a microscopic scalp analysis, a steam bath and a head and neck massage. ellxi calls the Signature Wash its crown-jewel treatment. Each wash is also offered in a tipped version at a higher price, and extra time can be added when booking at $5 per 5 minutes.
Monthly memberships are available for each wash tier, on a six-month commitment. Members get one wash per month, which can be rolled over and used within 60 days. Perks vary by tier and include short scalp massages, guest passes, discounts on additional washes and 10% off products on the Signature membership. Packages bundle several washes at a set price, to be used within 6, 8 or 12 months depending on the package. Gift cards can be bought on the website.
Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may have their service shortened, and the full price is still charged. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, otherwise 50% of the service price is charged. Payment is accepted by card, Zelle, Venmo and cash. Guests 60 and older and veterans receive 10% off all services. Hours are Monday to Friday 11:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
At ellxi, the working idea is that hair grows best from a well-kept scalp, so shampoo appointments are designed around caring for the scalp first and styling second.
