The Custom Color menu is built around named looks, from grey coverage and root smudge to all-over gloss and full refreshes. Each one can include a blowout, trim and the salon's signature style. Handlaced extensions are the salon's other specialty; the salon describes the method as its most customizable extension approach. Color and extension methods are taught to every artist in the salon so the work stays cohesive. The salon also runs Handlaced LOX classes, a full day of instruction with the Ello X team listed at $1400, and a Wefts x Wisdom class listed at $500.

A first visit starts with a new client intake form, completed before a stylist sees you. A receptionist walks new clients through booking by text. Booking asks for current hair photos and inspiration photos so the appointment can be sized correctly. Pricing varies by stylist, and existing clients make changes, rearrangements and cancellations by text. Tuesday through Thursday hours are 11 AM to 7 PM, Friday is 11 AM to 6 PM, Saturday is by appointment only, and the salon is closed Sunday.

Cancellations made within 24 hours are invoiced at 50% of the appointment. Same-day cancellations are invoiced for the full cost and are not rebooked until the invoice is paid. Cancellation invoices are non-refundable and cannot be applied to future services. Leaving an appointment without voicing requested changes makes the client responsible for the full cost of those adjustments. Clients who want to request a color shift can contact the salon within a 24-hour grace period. For extension wearers, the salon's guidance is to use sulfate-free, paraben-free moisture-focused shampoo and to wash extensions about every 5 to 7 days, and it cautions that products bought from general retailers are not professional-grade.

Color and extension methods are taught to every artist, aiming for a signature, cohesive style that pushes clients past mainstream services.
