Elisabeth The Stylist is a solo hair studio at 259 Broad Street in Matawan. Appointments are private and one-on-one, and the studio is open Wednesday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 3 PM, closed Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Haircuts include a blowout and take about an hour. Color runs from a 35-minute mini custom service for face-framing dimension, highlighting and root blending, to a 75-minute partial and a 120-minute full custom color. Single process color with a blowout covers gray at the new growth in about 45 minutes. A 10-minute K18 treatment can be added to other services; according to the salon, it is meant to restore strength, elasticity and softness in color-treated or compromised hair.

Booking policies: new clients booking partial or full custom color pay a $50 deposit. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, but customers must be approved before their appointment. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice; cancellations with less notice, and no-shows, are charged 50% of the scheduled service total.

Appointments focus on listening to each client's goals and checking in along the way, so the cut ends at the length they wanted. The stated priority is avoiding over-cutting.
