Elevated Studios by KishasBraids is owned by Kisha, a professional braider and braid educator based in Sacramento with more than 20 years in the hair industry. The studio's work centers on a variety of braid styles, and it also offers braid education.

Clients can book a squeeze-in appointment for $50, but squeeze-ins are not firm appointments and are offered only when the schedule allows. The booking calendar opens on the first of each month. A deposit is needed to book: $25 for services under $300 and $50 for services over $300. Deposits are non-refundable but count toward the total, and can be paid in cash or by Apple Pay at 916-544-8553 or dropped off during business hours when the owner is available. The balance is paid in cash at the appointment.

Hair needs to be washed and free of dandruff, oils and product buildup, then blow-dried and detangled before the visit. Small plaits and ponytails are not accepted, and only XPRESSIONS PRESTRETCH hair is used for braiding. Clients whose hair is not prepared as requested must reschedule and pay a new deposit.

Clients with hair loss or hair shorter than 3 inches should text a photo of their hair for approval before booking. Booking without that approval adds a $50 fee, and the appointment may be rescheduled.

Travel appointments are available, with a $75 fee for locations 0 to 20 minutes away and a $100 fee for locations 21 to 60 minutes away. Availability must be confirmed by text before booking. Braid classes are booked by contacting the business directly, and inquiries about one-on-one or group format should be made before booking.

Kids' braiding is offered for ages 2 to 11. Children need to be able to sit still for the full appointment, and clients should choose a style the child can sit through comfortably. Additional fees may apply if a child cannot stay seated or becomes overly anxious. No guests are allowed during appointments.

Each minute of lateness costs $1, up to a maximum of 15 minutes. Clients who arrive 16 minutes late lose their appointment, and rebooking requires a new deposit. Cancelling with less than 24 hours' notice incurs a charge of 25% of the booked service. A client who neither calls nor shows up is charged 50% of the booked service and loses the ability to rebook. Deposits are returned only when the cancellation results from a mistake on the owner's side.
