About

eleQTro spot describes itself as a community-driven space and says it was created to make permanent hair removal more accessible, supportive and personal. It serves people of all genders, and it states a commitment to making gender-affirming electrolysis easier to access. Its work includes electrolysis for pre-surgical preparation.

Treatment is mostly single-probe galvanic electrolysis. When needed, a blend with a small amount of thermolysis may be added, but thermolysis is never used alone, since it carries a risk of scarring or skin damage. According to the business, electrolysis permanently disables each follicle, and every follicle is treated on its own. Because only hair in its active growth phase responds, clients typically book weekly or every other week for about six months to two years. Session length and frequency are set in each plan based on the treatment area's size, hair density and growth pattern. The business says the method is suitable for every skin tone and works on blonde, red, gray and white hair too. It also describes electrolysis as the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal.

The first visit is a consultation that covers your goals, the areas to treat, your past hair-removal experience, and any medical or surgical timeline. Sessions can include music, a podcast or TV, and care is offered in English and Spanish. Some people notice temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling afterward.

Bottom surgery prep electrolysis requires a referral from a surgeon and a consultation with that surgeon before insurance will cover it, and authorization needs a treatment diagram from the surgeon. For other insured clients, new care begins with an authorized referral from a medical provider, which is usually requested from the primary care provider and should name eleQTro spot. The business has in-network arrangements with Kaiser, Sutter Medical Group, and Vivant for Molina Health members, and it reports experience with several other plans, including Medi-Cal plans. It can provide a superbill for PPO plans and will work with out-of-network referrals where needed. For clients without insurance, there are a limited number of sliding-scale spots based on financial need and availability, along with limited private-pay spots. The new-client waitlist is about six months long. Sacramento is open Sunday and Monday from 8 am to 5 pm, Tuesday from 8 am to 9 pm, Wednesday from 8 am to 5:30 pm, and Thursday from 10 am to 7:30 pm. Chico is open Tuesday from 9 am to 6 pm and Wednesday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Both locations are by appointment only. The Sacramento building is private-access, so the full address and entry instructions are sent after booking. You can reach them by phone or text at 916-241-3676 or by email at hello@eleqtrospot.com.

Serves everyone regardless of gender identity, with treatment plans built around each client's areas, hair density and growth pattern.
