Elegante Electrolysis focuses on electrolysis, a method of permanent hair removal, and works from a single office at 2366 Eastlake Ave E in Seattle. The practice also serves clients from Seattle and surrounding areas. Street parking is available nearby, and the building's parking garage is open after 6pm and on Saturdays.
The practice is owned by electrologist Christina Abgarian, who has been practicing since 2002. Treatments use the Blend method, which combines galvanic current with thermolysis current, and the practice invests in quality equipment for comfortable, safe and effective sessions.
Electrolysis can address the eyebrows, chin, upper and lower lip, jaw line, sides of the face, breasts, underarms, abdomen, bikini line, legs and back. Sessions run from about 15 minutes to more than an hour depending on the area. Because hair grows in cycles, most clients need more than one treatment. Electrolysis may be performed on moles where licensing rules allow, and a physician's written approval may be required.
Treatments and consultations are by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Rates depend on the type and length of treatment, so clients are asked to get in touch to discuss their needs. Payment is due at the time of treatment and cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice. Late arrivals are charged from the originally scheduled time, and appointments may not be extended because of other clients. Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The practice brings a medical perspective on hair and skin to each treatment and follows infection control standards set by the American Electrology Association, based on CDC, OSHA and APIC recommendations.
