Elegant Electrolysis

Elegant Electrolysis is an electrolysis clinic in Houston that focuses on permanent hair removal. Electrolysis works by passing a small electric current through a fine sterile probe into each hair follicle.

The clinic uses three modalities: galvanic, thermolysis, and a blend of the two. The site states that electrolysis is the only method the FDA has approved for permanent removal of unwanted hair, and that it works on all skin types, hair types, skin and hair colors, and body areas. It also says electrolysis can remove hair that laser hair removal does not work on, and that it does not produce the burnt hair smell associated with laser. These are the clinic's own claims.

Hair removal is offered for the facial area, upper lip, eyebrows, ears, neck, torso, underarms, legs, and bikini area. Skin tags can also be removed. Pricing is by time: hair removal has a $80 minimum for 30 minutes, or $140 per hour, and skin tag removal is $120 for 30 minutes, covering one or more tags, or $240 for an hour.

Appointments are required and are offered Monday through Saturday. A free consultation is available. Clients who cannot keep an appointment need to call or text at least 48 hours ahead. Uncancelled, same-day cancelled, and no-show appointments are charged 50% of the appointment amount at the next visit. Children are not permitted in the clinic.
