Electrolysis By Raeann is run by Raeann, an electrologist who has practiced electrolysis since 1974. Electrolysis treats one follicle at a time: a single sterilized, disposable probe is placed alongside each hair and into the base of the follicle, and current is applied to destroy the root. The work can use galvanic current, thermolysis (heat), or a blend of the two, and the current can be adjusted to suit the client, with lower settings lengthening the session.

Sessions are priced by time: $50 for 15 minutes, $65 for 30 minutes, $80 for 45 minutes, and $95 for 60 minutes. Treatment length varies with the size of the area, how curved each follicle is, skin sensitivity, hormones, and heredity. Redness, swelling, dryness, and scabs are listed as possible temporary side effects.
