Electrolysis By Isla is a solo electrolysis practice in Seattle, run by electrolysis provider Isla Barcia. Its focus is permanent hair removal, delivered one follicle at a time.

Electrolysis works by inserting a fine needle into each hair follicle and applying a current to remove the hair permanently. Because hair grows in cycles, treatment often takes more than one visit.

The practice also offers Gender Confirmation Surgery prep, which covers Brazilian and bikini areas, as permanent hair removal done in preparation for gender confirmation surgery.

Every new client begins with a free 45-minute consultation. It covers how electrolysis works, what to do before and after appointments, a treatment plan and test hairs. Clients should arrive with hair grown to about 1/8 to 1/4 inch, roughly two to three days of growth.

Treatment sessions run from 15 minutes up to 2 hours, priced per session. Appointments can be booked online, and gift cards are sold online. The studio is open Tuesday through Thursday 10 AM to 7 PM, Friday 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM, and is closed Sunday and Monday.

Permanent hair removal is done one follicle at a time, with a free consultation first to plan the process, pre-care, aftercare and treatment.
