About

Electrolysis Beauty Lounge, LLC is an electrolysis practice focused on permanent hair removal. Danielle Penn owns and operates the studio, which treats many facial and non-intimate body areas, one follicle at a time.

Its services include electrolysis for men, such as beard and neckline shaping, back, shoulder and chest hair, isolated coarse hairs and ingrown hairs. It also offers identity-affirming electrolysis on facial, neck, chest, abdominal, back, shoulder, arm and hand areas, and supports identity-affirming and pre-surgical treatment needs within the scope of its services. Treatment for hormonally influenced hair growth, including PMOS-related growth and persistent facial hair, is a particular focus. Electrolysis is also offered on tattooed areas and as a finishing step after laser hair removal. The studio does not provide genital or perianal electrolysis, but can refer clients to other electrologists for that work.

Electrolysis can be performed on all natural hair colors and across a range of skin tones, including melanin-rich skin, with attention to skin health and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Clients may use topical numbing cream before a visit, and the studio removes it in sections during treatment. Phone use is limited to minimal use that does not interfere with positioning. Guests may attend only if requested in advance, depending on the treatment area, appointment type and available space.

Appointments run 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes, priced from $40 to $210: $40 for 10 minutes, $60 for 15, $90 for 30, $125 for 45, $150 for 60, $180 for 75 and $210 for 90. The studio recommends 15 or 30 minutes for first-time clients and 45 minutes as the maximum for a first visit. Early in treatment, appointments are recommended every 2 to 3 weeks, and a 15-minute gap is scheduled between appointments. Card payments carry a 3% processing fee, and cash is encouraged. First-time clients complete a Health History Assessment, online, downloaded or in person arriving 15 minutes early. Personal and medical information is protected under HIPAA privacy laws. No-shows, late arrivals and last-minute cancellations are governed by the studio's terms and are strictly enforced.

Hours are Monday 5pm to 9:15pm, Tuesday to Friday 7am to 9:30am and 5pm to 9:15pm, and Saturday 8am to 2pm.

The studio offers electrolysis and says it is the only hair removal method the FDA recognizes as permanent. It regards electrolysis as the standard for permanently destroying hair growth cells. Clients are encouraged to look into laser hair removal and to test a small patch before committing to treatment. The studio also points out that its website should not be a client's only source of information. Resources include an online Knowledge Library, an FAQ library covering treatment planning, comfort and aftercare, and an Educational Guide on electrolysis and skin care. Consultations are optional. A 15-minute phone consultation costs $20, is non-refundable and is paid at booking. Between appointments, clients are asked to skip tweezing, waxing, threading and sugaring so the hairs can still be treated.

Encourages clients to compare options, including laser, and to test before committing, with education built into the practice.

Music plays in the studio during appointments.
