Electro LA is owned by Savannah, who became the studio's new owner. The practice focuses on electrolysis, a method in which a fine probe is inserted into the natural opening of each hair follicle, with no puncture. Most hairs are treated with thermolysis, a very brief burst of heat applied at the root.

The studio's own materials describe electrolysis as the only method it considers capable of permanent hair removal and cite the FDA on that point. They also say it can be used on any skin tone, hair type, hair colour and body area without damage. These are the studio's claims, not outcomes it promises for any individual.

Before any treatment, every new client has a free consultation to go over how the process works, how long sessions are likely to take and whether electrolysis is a good fit. Contraindications are discussed at a pre-appointment consult and again at the first in-person visit. Clients receive pre-care and after-care instructions, including avoiding tweezing, waxing and threading once treatment has started.

Sessions are priced by time. Face and body work runs from $60 for 15 minutes to $150 for 60 minutes, with each extra 15 minutes at $30. Brazilian and bikini work runs from $70 for 15 minutes to $170 for 60 minutes, with each extra 15 minutes at $35. The online booking platform shows the same prices.

Treatment happens in a private room with a private bathroom. Drapes are closed during treatment, and a scented candle and calming music are often in use. Clients can pick SiriusXM or Apple Music during their appointment. Booking requires a card on file and a signed credit card authorization form, which can be completed online or in the office. Cancelling 48 hours ahead generally incurs a 50% service fee, and same-day no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead incur a full fee. Clients who reschedule often may be asked to pay for services in advance.
