Gel manicures and pedicures build up a gel base, color layers, and a top coat, cured under a UV or LED lamp. According to the salon, gel manicures can last two to three weeks without chipping, and gel pedicures resist chipping and keep their shine for several weeks.
Acrylic services extend and shape the nails using acrylic powder and liquid, and they can include colored polish or art and decorative designs. Typical appointment lengths are about one hour for a natural manicure or pedicure, one hour and 30 minutes for a gel service, and two hours and 30 minutes for an acrylic service.
