It is an independent studio built by stylists for stylists, where each stylist builds their own clientele and owns their clients, time and work. Some team members came from commission salons and some are newly licensed, so the team combines long experience with fresh training.

A visit usually starts with a conversation about hair and goals. The Custom Color Consultation is a 15-minute session to examine the hair and explore color inspirations, and it carries a $50 deposit that is credited toward the service. Walk-ins are welcome when the salon is not fully booked. Bookings go through Vagaro or Instagram at @editsalon_.

Lash extensions are customized to each client's eye shape, lifestyle and desired look, from natural to bold. The salon says its sets are designed to maintain the health of natural lashes. A classic full set ($130) uses one extension per natural lash for length and subtle fullness, a hybrid full set ($150) blends classic and volume lashes for texture, and a volume full set ($170) uses lightweight handmade fans for a fuller look. Fills are recommended every two to three weeks, with a shorter option at $65 for classic, and an outsider fill at $90 for lashes applied by another artist. A full set may be required when less than 40% of lashes remain.

Beyond color and extensions, the Head Spa is a one-hour treatment with a deep scalp detox, two hair masks, hot towels and extended scalp massage, and an optional color glaze can be added for $20. The Scalp Balancing Treatment Package is a six-step process for overly dry or oily scalps that finishes with a blowout, and it is also offered as a mobile service. The salon describes the Brazilian Blowout as a protective protein layer that smooths the cuticle and eliminates frizz.
