ECHO was founded by Lynn Carver Schuster, who has focused on eyelash and eyebrow services since 2008. The salon operates inside Solarium Wellness Collective, a group of independent, women-owned small businesses that share the same address.

The salon describes itself as eco-friendly and uses sustainable products and methods where it can, choosing ingredients from conscious sources. It uses a hospital-grade, EPA-approved disinfectant that it says is safe for water and drainage systems, and it replaces plastic with metal, wood, paper and compostable packaging and supplies where possible. Used plastic mascara wands are collected for Wands for Wildlife, an animal refuge organization.

A visit begins with a free consultation, either in person in the suite (about 30 minutes) or by video or phone (about 15 minutes). Clients arrive with clean lashes free of mascara and remove contacts before lash services; the salon has contact lens cases and saline on hand. Extensions are synthetic, never mink or genuine hair, and are applied with low-fume adhesives suited to sensitive eyes. A free patch test and consultation are offered for known adhesive allergies, and a no-charge consultation is recommended for anyone with extensions from another salon or with damaged or sparse lashes or brows.

Lash extensions come in classic, volume and hybrid styles. Full sets take roughly two to three hours, and fills take about an hour and are recommended every two to three weeks because natural lashes shed. Clients must be at least 18, should have extensions removed only by a professional, and need to give at least 12 hours' notice of a cancellation or reschedule to avoid a possible fee. Problems with lashes or brows should be reported within two days of the appointment.

The shop sells small-batch gifts made in Minnesota, in store and online, and gift cards are available. The salon also offers hands-on lash lifting and brow lamination training for licensed estheticians and cosmetologists with CE credit, plus a Premiere Eyelash Extension Training course for students seeking certification, held at Minnesota Brow Lash & MedSpa Academy in St. Louis Park.

The salon describes its methods as eco-friendly and sustainable where possible, with ingredients chosen from conscious sources. It does not consider mega volume lash extensions sustainable for natural lashes over the long term.
