DUST

DUST was set up to offer a more personal, considered salon experience, with each visit shaped around the individual client. The studio is located at 1942 Riverside Dr. in Los Angeles and was founded by Luca Tullio.

The studio's outlook centers on a client's sense of identity, careful precision and a restrained, understated kind of beauty. Rather than a fast turnover, each appointment is treated as a collaboration, with dedicated time set aside to learn about the client and the hair they wear.

Appointments are booked online through the website. Hours run Thursday through Sunday, by appointment only. Service charge and gratuity are included in all pricing, so the quoted rate is the full cost of the visit.

Clients are asked to book the service that matches their hair length, so the stylist has enough time. Haircut + Blow Dry suits medium to long styles and precision cuts and runs about 1 hour 30 minutes. Short Cut is for hair that sits above the ear and takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Both include an in-depth consultation, a wash and a blow dry or style. Fringe/Bangs Trim is a 15-minute upkeep visit for trimming between full cuts.

Each appointment is built as a collaboration, with time set aside to understand the client and their hair before cutting.
