Duong's Beauty Studio is in Suite 112 of a Bloomington building and focuses on lash extensions. Walk-ins are not accepted, so every visit is booked ahead, up to three months out. Booking requires a $30 fee that is non-refundable unless the studio cancels, with the remaining balance paid at the appointment. The studio is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and is closed Wednesday and Sunday.

About

The studio is run by its owner, who is also the lash artist and designs each set around the client's eye shape and natural lash health. The studio describes its aim as care, calm and quiet confidence. Clients looking for a particular look can choose from a wide range of styles, from natural-looking classic sets to heavier volume, spiky anime-inspired designs and freestyle wispy designs.

Fills are meant to be scheduled every two to four weeks. If fewer than 40 percent of extensions remain on an eye, a full set is needed instead, and fills booked more than five weeks after the last visit also require a full set. Mini fills are for clients with at least 70 percent of extensions left and must be booked within a week of the previous appointment. Issues reported within three days of a service receive a complimentary 30-minute touch-up.

Before an appointment, clients are asked to arrive with clean lashes free of oils, makeup and residue, to skip contact lenses, and to avoid caffeine and smoking beforehand. A patch test is optional but must be done 24 to 48 hours before the lash appointment; clients who skip it sign a waiver. Only clients may be in the studio. For evening and weekend visits the building doors are locked, so clients wait in their car and text or call on arrival. The studio does not use products containing MMA, in line with Minnesota state law.

Each set is custom-designed around eye shape and natural lash health, with a personalized, mindful approach to every service.
