Dreamy Nail Spells

Dreamy Nail Spells is a private nail studio on the second floor of a building on Fifth Avenue in San Diego. Services are by appointment only, with hours Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm and Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm.

Stina runs the studio and does the nail technical work and the artistry. Services center on two soft gel options. Apres Gel X pairs Gel-X tips with Extend gel to deliver length right away, is suited to formal events and special occasions, and can go over short or bitten nails. Tips come in several shapes and lengths, and the soft gels come off with a soak. Bio Sculpture, a soft gel nail system, was created in South Africa in 1988 by Elmien Scholtz.

The studio says it prefers professional-grade products and organic ingredients when possible, and that it aims to offer nail services without ingredients it considers harmful. The brand describes Bio Sculpture products as 10-free, and the studio states that its services are vegan and cruelty free.

For arrival, the lot beside the building has limited street-level spaces, and clients may park only in spaces labeled 205, 210, 215 or Fifth Avenue Healing Center. When those are full, metered parking applies, paid by coins, card or the Park Smarter app, with a four-hour maximum per spot. The studio is on the second floor, Suite 210, door F, reached through the entrance beside the Parc Bistro entrance, and a bathroom is in the building's main hall.

The studio works with soft gel systems that can be soaked off and says it aims to avoid ingredients it considers harmful, with services it describes as vegan and cruelty free.
