Work ranges from starting new locs and routine maintenance to repairs, detangling and unmatting, and restoration of matted locs. Maintenance is booked in one-hour blocks from one to six hours, and extra time can be added in half-hour increments. Styling methods named on the site include palm-rolling, interlocking and the crochet method.
Every new client begins with a consultation that looks at hair, scalp, loc condition and goals before the first service. For clients who want to learn, private one-on-one training is set up around the topics they choose, such as starting locs, interlocking, crochet, repairs and maintenance, and the client brings their own model.
Scalp care is also offered, including work on hair loss and scalp issues. The studio is wheelchair accessible, offers complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, and permits children and pets.
Each service starts from a consultation of the hair, scalp, loc condition and goals, with honest, personalized guidance.
