James S. Linder, MD, owns the practice, which focuses on reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows and tear drainage, along with laser and non-surgical aesthetic treatments of the face. The practice describes its surgeon as a premier oculoplastic surgeon of the Mid-South and says its care uses advanced technology and techniques.
Surgical services cover blepharoplasty for upper and lower eyelids, double eyelid surgery, ptosis repair for droopy eyelids, brow repair, removal of eyelid lumps and bumps, scar revision, treatment of skin cancer on the eyelids, and treatment for tearing and watery eyes. Other procedures listed include treatment for entropion, ectropion, enucleation and evisceration. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty can be performed in the office under local anesthesia or in an outpatient facility with optional IV sedation, and lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be done through an incision below the lashes or, for some patients, from inside the lid.
The practice offers a range of aesthetic and injectable care. Laser-based options include laser resurfacing, intense pulsed light, Morpheus8 for the face and body, and UltraClear laser treatments. Other services are SkinPen microneedling and platelet-rich plasma therapy. Neuromodulators available are Botox, Xeomin and Daxxify, and dermal fillers include products from the Juvederm collection, along with Belotero and Radiesse. According to the practice, injectable treatments are carried out by a qualified healthcare professional or a licensed aesthetician.
Planning details are spelled out in advance. Surgery patients fast for 8 hours beforehand, stop aspirin products and non-prescribed blood thinners five to seven days before surgery, and need cardiac clearance from their prescribing doctor before stopping a prescription blood thinner. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is considered safe. Patients must be released to a friend, relative or designated driver who drives them home. Most patients return to normal activities within one week, with swelling typically lasting three to four days and bruising up to two weeks. Sutures are usually removed after one week, and a follow-up visit is generally scheduled one month after surgery.
Insurance covers eyelid surgery only when drooping significantly obstructs vision. Otherwise the procedure is treated as cosmetic and self-pay pricing is discussed. Lower eyelid sagging and fat pouches are not covered and are performed as cosmetic procedures. The practice does not offer payment plans; it accepts credit cards and CareCredit, and co-payments are due at the time of service when insurance is accepted. Appointments need 24 hours' notice to cancel. Offices are open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and patients from Memphis, Jacksonville, Germantown, Arlington and Collierville are noted as served.
Emphasizes reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid, eyebrow and tearing care, with an assessment of the underlying cause before recommending a treatment plan.
