Dr. Garth Fisher

The practice was set up by Garth Fisher, MD, who founded his own practice in Beverly Hills in the early 1990s. Dr. Fisher has practiced in the city for more than three decades, and the practice says he has over twenty years of experience in aesthetic judgment. Prospective patients have an in-person consultation at the Beverly Hills office, where the surgeon reviews goals, anatomy and options. Afterward the office provides customized print and DVD educational material.

Surgical plans are built for each patient rather than from a standard implant size or technique. Breast augmentation can use saline, silicone gel or anatomical gummy bear implants, placed above the muscle, under the muscle or dual-plane. Incisions can be periareolar, inframammary, transaxillary or transumbilical, and the transumbilical approach is used only with saline implants, which are filled after placement. The practice will recommend against surgery when it judges the risks to outweigh the likely benefit.

The Pinnacle Facelift, developed by Dr. Fisher, is made up of a series of smaller individualized procedures rather than one large operation, and it is offered only to his own patients. A stem cell facelift using StemSculpt injects a patient's own stem cells as a semi-permanent filler. Body work includes liposuction, tummy tuck, arm and thigh lifts and labiaplasty. Mommy makeovers combine procedures for the body after pregnancy and breastfeeding and can include laser treatment for stretch marks. Body contouring is considered only after nonsurgical methods have not produced the proper results, is performed under general anesthesia alongside a dedicated anesthesiologist, and may be staged across sessions.

Recovery expectations are shared in advance. After body contouring most patients need two to four weeks before returning to desk work or light activity. After breast augmentation most women take about five to ten days off work. Mommy makeover patients should plan for help with childcare and household tasks for at least the first two weeks. Most rhinoplasty patients go home the same day and wear a nasal splint for about one week, and final results typically become fully apparent within six to twelve months.

Skin analysis is available through VISIA and Mirror Image imaging. Dr. Fisher also founded the Biomedical Skin Treatment Institute in 2008 as a research platform for skin care and anti-aging technology, and he serves as a consultant plastic surgeon at Hobbs Clinic in Dubai, where patients are directed to the clinic's website to begin a consultation.

Each patient receives a custom surgical plan after a consultation that weighs goals, anatomy and options, and surgery is recommended only where the surgeon judges it appropriate. The practice aims for natural results that keep the face in balance, using conservative techniques intended to keep the hairline intact and reduce visible scarring.
