Down to the Root Head Spa is located in suite A101 #27 at 12750 Carmel Country Road in San Diego. The founder began building the business plan in 2025 and the business has since launched. The founder is licensed in cosmetology, nails and massage, and has expanded the practice into facials, makeup and body sculpting. The business says its aim is to offer a calm space where guests can slow down and reconnect.

The head spa rituals are the core of the menu. The Root Ritual runs 60 minutes from $200 and includes a personalized scalp analysis, a detox, gentle exfoliation, steam and water ring therapy, and a neck and shoulder massage. The Ceremony Ritual runs 90 minutes from $250 and adds a mini facial with gua sha and facial massage, along with a rolling massage bed. The Ultimate Head Spa runs 120 minutes from $300 and extends the treatment to massage of the neck, shoulders, hands, arms and feet, a European facial, hot stones, and keratin hand and foot masks. Each ritual ends with a rough blow-dry; a polished finish requires booking the Root to Tip Blowout in advance, which runs 45 minutes from $65.

Beyond the rituals, the menu includes the Rooted Beard Revival at 60 minutes for $140, with a deep cleanse, exfoliation, water ring therapy, warm steam, facial and jaw massage, and a beard analysis. The Bloom European Facial uses Korean skincare products and is non-extraction, so extractions are not included. The Full Bodywork Massage Ritual is customized and may combine Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, stretching and focused therapeutic work, offered at 50 minutes for $120, 80 minutes for $180 or 110 minutes for $240. The Sole Revival Foot Ritual, using a heated keratin mask, is available for 15 minutes at $30, 30 minutes at $60 or 60 minutes at $120. Add-ons include heated Himalayan salt stone treatments for $15 or $30, keratin hand or foot masks for $15 each, a shampoo brush service for $18 and a collagen face mask for $22.

Booking is done online and a valid card is required to secure each reservation. Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made inside 24 hours and missed appointments forfeit the session or charge, and late cancellations and no-shows count as a used session, including for rituals bought in a membership or package. Late arrivals may shorten the appointment, but full service charges still apply. The Full Bodywork Massage Ritual and the Bloom European Facial each require a $50 deposit. The business reserves the right to refuse service or discontinue bookings. Gift cards are available, and the site has a shop section.
