Dollhouse Beauty (Braids) is a braiding shop in Houston that offers a wide range of braided styles. The shop says it covers most braiding styles and adds new ones regularly, and clients who want a style that isn't listed can ask questions or send photos to check whether it can be done.

Bookings are made online with a $32 deposit, of which $30 goes toward the service and $2 covers payment processing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable, and the remaining balance is paid in cash at the appointment. Prices are listed in the booking descriptions and do not include hair, so clients buying hair should plan for that cost.

Hair length matters for booking. Most styles need hair at least 4 inches long, while box braids and some twist styles need 2 to 3 inches. Clients with shorter hair can text a photo of their hair and the desired style before booking. If hair is too short for the chosen style on arrival, the deposit is not refunded. Because a booked style cannot be changed later, clients should choose the exact style and select the matching category when booking. Touch-ups should be booked separately rather than under full-head services.

Appointment times are estimates, since braiding can take more or less time depending on hair thickness and size. Clients or braiders may run up to 20 minutes late, and an appointment is cancelled after 30 minutes. Rescheduling is allowed up to 48 hours before the appointment through the link in the confirmation email; after that, a new appointment must be booked with no refund. No-call, no-show appointments result in no future bookings.

The shop prefers Expression hair for braiding because of its texture and how it responds to hot water. Clients may also use other hair brands at their own risk, or bring their own human or synthetic hair. Expression Outre hair is sold in the shop in several colors, priced for whole-head styles by length, and human hair is available in 1B. Other human hair colors can be ordered ahead of the appointment. To keep the space uncrowded and quiet, extra companions are not allowed. Additional braiders can be added to an appointment for $50 each with notice given ahead of time, and WiFi is available in the shop.
