Because lash extensions need some care at home, the studio gives clients clear aftercare guidance. For the first 48 hours, lashes should stay dry, including avoiding steam from the shower. Clients are asked not to pull, rub, pick at or sleep on their extensions, and to avoid oil-based products around the lash line. Mascara, pencil eyeliner and cream or gel liners are not recommended. Lashes should be cleansed daily, focusing on the lash line, without cotton pads, q-tips or a mascara wand. The studio recommends the Luxe Lash Lather kit for cleansing, and oil-free makeup removers such as Neutrogena makeup wipes.
Lash fill-ins are strongly suggested, and two-week fill-ins are recommended for the best retention.
Care for lash extensions centers on keeping them dry at first, cleansing them gently each day, and booking regular fill-ins.
