Dimensions Salon was founded in 2015 by Tristy North-Hughes as a place where stylists could learn and grow. It now operates as a collective: each stylist rents a booth, manages their own schedule, clientele, pricing, fees and availability, and works alongside colleagues who share the space. Cassie Bigelow bought the salon in January 2023 and is its current owner.

The salon describes the atmosphere as drama free and positively charged for both stylists and clients. Its stated values are sustainability, connection and integrity, and its aim is a setting where independent owners support one another. Stylists have one-on-one accountability meetings twice a month and may observe or shadow other stylists.

Clients can book online through Vagaro, and walk-ins are accepted when a stylist has room, though booking ahead is recommended. Each stylist sets their own prices, so clients are asked to check with their chosen stylist for the current price list. A valid card must be kept on file for new appointments. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, with 48 hours appreciated; later cancellations carry a fee of half the scheduled service. A no-call, no-show costs the full scheduled service, and arriving more than 20 minutes late counts as one. Appointments have a 15-minute grace period, arriving later can result in a charge, and appointments are not extended for late arrivals. Each stylist also posts their own booking and no-show policies on their individual websites.

New clients can have a free consultation in person or by video call. Children are welcome by appointment, with arrangements made with the stylist during slower hours or days. Clients are asked to come alone unless a parent is bringing a minor or a guest with special needs. Dogs are discouraged; medical service animals are welcome, while emotional support animals are not included in that allowance.

The salon has an online product store and sells gift certificates. Clients have seven days to raise concerns about a service with their stylist, and the salon does not refund services. Unopened products can be returned or exchanged within 14 days, opened products are not refunded, and products less than 90% full cannot be exchanged. Payments and service questions are handled directly between the client and the stylist, with salon management available if a concern is not resolved.
