Fades are the shop's main specialty, and skin fades are offered as a daily service. Skin fades are available high, mid and low, as bald or zero fades, and on coily hair, and they are cut on straight, wavy, curly and coily hair alike. The shop says it has particular experience fading and shaping coily and natural hair, including 4A to 4C coils, 3A to 3C curls, shaped afros, tapered naturals and high-top fades. A visit begins with a conversation about what the client wants, including the fade start point, edge sharpness and length on top for skin fades, or style, length and line placement for beard work. Clients can bring a reference photo, and the barbers say they take photos seriously. Fades are cut in guard passes, blended by hand and finished with a razor on the hairline, neckline and temples. Most cuts run 30 to 45 minutes. A skin fade runs 35 to 50 minutes, a standalone beard trim 20 to 30 minutes, and a beard trim with a fade or men's haircut 45 to 60 minutes. Kids cuts run 20 to 35 minutes. A lineup is included in every beard trim.

The traditional straight razor shave is a separate service. It includes a hot towel prep, pre-shave oil, brush-applied lather, a straight razor pass, touch-up along the neckline and jaw, and a cool towel finish with aftershave and a moisturizing product. A standalone shave typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, and a shave combined with a haircut takes 60 to 75 minutes. A fresh razor blade is used for each client. The shop says it kept the straight razor shave on its menu when many shops dropped it, and that it considers its version among the closest and smoothest shaves in Phoenix.

Kids are a large part of the book. The shop cuts boys of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, including natural and coily hair.
