Devil Make Hair

Devil Make Hair works from a single chair inside Sola Salon, a commercial space where stylists run their own independent businesses. Each session is set around one guest, and the session time is held for that guest with no double booking.

Sessions come in four levels: The Maintain at $130, The Complete at $170, The Transformation at $250 and The Makeover at $350. Each includes a haircut, shampoo and blow-dry. The Complete and The Makeover add a Lather Lounge experience. Prices can rise when a session uses above-average product or time, and the price is confirmed with the guest before the service begins.

After color processing, shampoo includes a hot towel scalp or hair treatment and a head massage. Every visit also includes a personal mini styling lesson on tools, products and techniques, and guests are offered complimentary drinks, chocolates and ambient music during appointments.

New guests complete a questionnaire and discovery form before they are approved and booked, and appointments usually fill about a month ahead. Existing clients who have not been seen in more than eight months return as new guests. The salon is not currently accepting new cut-only clients. A credit card on file is required to book, with 24 hours notice needed to cancel; late cancellations are charged 25% of the scheduled services and no-shows 50%. Guests are asked to wash their hair 24 to 48 hours before service and use minimal product.

Each session is tailored to the guest, with the guest experience placed first and the session time set for that person alone.

The salon describes its setting as private and non-judgmental, in a single-chair room within a shared commercial space.
