Designer Beauty has been in operation since 1986 and runs as a division of Skincare & Permanent Make-up by Chin Lee, LLC. The studio is in Northridge and describes itself as a health department approved facility.
The studio's view is that skin care matters as much to overall well-being as care for the rest of the body. Skin care clients get a treatment shaped to their particular skin needs, and facials can combine deep pore cleansing, peeling, chemical exfoliants such as fruit acids or herbal peels, or microdermabrasion. Each facial ends with aromatherapy oils and a mask made up for the client's skin.
Visits are by appointment only, booked by phone, and the studio is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm. Consultations are complimentary, and free parking is available directly behind the building.
Beyond skin care, the studio offers waxing across the face, body and intimate areas, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, and a range of permanent makeup: microblading with ombré shading for brows, eyeliner, lip blushing, lip lines and full lips, beauty marks, scar camouflage, areola and 3D nipple work, and corrections. Permanent makeup colors and designs are matched to each client's complexion. Piercing is done with a sterile disposable piercer and assorted jewelry.
Each skin care client receives a treatment adjusted to their skin, and the studio regards skin care as part of overall well-being.
