Dermasology was founded in the early 2000s by Saundra Jezowski, who set it up to meet clients' skincare and beauty needs in one place. The studio combines skin treatments, medical-grade products and permanent makeup, and the business describes its approach as science-driven. Each service is adjusted to the client's skin type, concerns and goals.
The peel menu includes the Glow Peel, the Multi-Acid Peel and the Acne Peel, along with a medical-grade chemical peel built from a custom blend of medical-grade acids and clinically formulated skincare, performed in a clinical setting. The Multi-Acid Peel is positioned for aging skin and concerns such as wrinkles, texture and deep discoloration, while the Acne Peel is aimed at breakouts, acne-prone skin and acne scars. Sessions run about 15 to 30 minutes. Clients may be asked to adjust their skincare routine one to two weeks beforehand, and a series is often spaced every four to six weeks, with maintenance typically every eight to twelve weeks.
Permanent makeup covers eyebrow micropigmentation, which can be done by microblading or a powder brow technique, lip micropigmentation (also called lip blushing), and eyeliner work that ranges from subtle lash enhancement to bolder winged liner. Permanent eyeliner typically lasts three to five years with a touch-up every 12 to 18 months.
Dermasology offers areola and nipple restoration as one of its core specialties. The procedure aims to recreate the areola for people who have had a mastectomy, breast reconstruction, gender-affirming surgery, or another medical treatment. Each appointment moves through four stages: a consultation to match color, mapping and design, pigment placement, and a closing adjustment with aftercare instructions. Pigment is chosen to suit each client's skin tone and preferences. Sessions are typically booked once the surgical site has completely healed, usually three to six months after reconstruction. A topical numbing agent is applied before and during treatment, and according to the studio, most clients feel little discomfort. Visible changes appear within days and continue to develop over the following weeks and months. The studio works with breast surgeons and oncology care teams in Connecticut. According to the studio, it accepts insurance for qualifying procedures and manages claims itself with the help of a medical tattooing billing service. Coverage depends on the individual provider. Under federal law, health plans that include mastectomy coverage generally must also pay for areola and nipple tattooing as part of reconstruction. Eyebrow and eyeliner tattooing may also be covered in certain cases when included in a recovery plan.
Appointments are required. Free consultations are available in person or by phone, including a free restoration consultation. The business also keeps a separate page for referring physicians and runs an online shop for its medical-grade skincare.
Treatments are planned around each client's skin type, concerns and goals, with a science-driven focus that combines skincare, skin treatments and permanent makeup.
The business describes its care as taking place in a private, professional setting.
