Before any regenerative treatment, a Candidate Assessment reviews imaging, includes a physical exam and ends with a recommendation. Stem cells are taken from the patient's own body and processed at the company's Denver lab, using a mix of fat-derived and bone marrow-derived cells. Procedures are guided by real-time ultrasound or fluoroscopy, and bone marrow aspirate concentrate is harvested in the office under local anesthesia. Candidacy generally covers Grade 1 to 3 osteoarthritis, partial-thickness tears and ligament sprains, while Grade 4 patients are referred for surgical evaluation. The clinic does not recommend regenerative therapy for acute fractures, active infections, severe osteoporosis or certain autoimmune conditions. After an injection, patients are advised to rest for roughly 3 to 7 days, and those traveling a long distance after knee or hip procedures are advised to stay nearby for 24 hours. Most patients follow a graduated loading plan of 12 to 16 weeks before returning to skiing or trail running.
Each visit starts with a scalp analysis that includes digital imaging of follicular density, and the plan is adjusted for follicular assessment, scalp health and environment. Hormone protocols, including testosterone therapy for men and bioidentical hormone therapy for women, are adjusted for Denver's altitude, with hematocrit checked every 6 to 8 weeks during the first six months and in-clinic therapeutic phlebotomy when levels rise above safe thresholds. Virtual follow-ups are available for ongoing hormone and weight management care.
Most regenerative procedures are self-pay, and stem cell, PRP and peptide therapy are generally considered elective or investigational by insurers. Consultations, diagnostic imaging and some hormone therapy and lab work may be covered depending on the plan. The clinic provides pricing upfront, offers financing through CareCredit and AdvanceCare, accepts HSA and FSA cards for hormone therapy, and provides superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement. A free consultation is available through a request form on the website or by phone.
Physicians tailor each treatment plan to the patient's condition, goals and healing potential, and the clinic focuses on regenerative orthobiologics.
