The studio was conceived in 1979 by founder Melinda Williams as a place where women could have their brows arched and their makeup done. Its name, Dendera, refers to the Dendera Temple in Egypt, a site dedicated to the goddess Hathor.

Eyebrow work is the core of the menu. An arch alone or a fill-in alone is $20 each, and an arch with fill-in is $25, done with brow powder or a pencil. Clients can also combine an arch, fill-in and strip lash application for $42, or pair an arch with eyeshadow for $50. Lash options include strip mink eyelash application for $17. Makeup is offered as a mini face service for $60 or a full face application for $75, according to the booking page.

Walk-ins are welcome. Clients who prefer to plan ahead can book, reschedule or cancel through the Setmore booking page and app. The studio is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The studio sells its own products, including a foundation and a red lipstick. These can be ordered online for home delivery. The studio describes its product line as renowned, and describes itself as an iconic Atlanta address for eyebrow arches, new products and makeovers.
