Defiance Health was co-founded in 2017 by Jessica Lara, PA-C, together with Nicholas Lara, MBA. The Centennial clinic sits inside the Denver Tech Center and serves patients from across the south metro area, including Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Englewood, Parker and Aurora. The Alamosa clinic was added to serve the San Luis Valley, with patients coming from Monte Vista, Del Norte, Center, La Jara and Antonito.
A first visit usually starts with a comprehensive intake for a $495 flat fee, which includes an in-office lab draw, a full lab panel suited to the patient's concerns, body composition analysis and a 60 to 75 minute provider visit. That fee does not apply toward any treatment plan chosen afterward. A $99 introductory consultation, a 15-minute provider visit in person or by telehealth, is credited toward the intake if the patient goes ahead. Follow-up labs are billed separately and ongoing care is quoted at the visit. The clinic is cash-pay and does not bill insurance directly, but it provides superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement, accepts HSA and FSA cards (cosmetic-only treatments may not qualify), and offers financing through CareCredit with 0% promotional periods and through Cherry with 0% APR for up to 6 months on approved credit. Pricing is the same at both locations.
Hormone care includes bioidentical hormone replacement for perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause, testosterone replacement for men, and hormone therapy for low testosterone in women, thyroid dysfunction and postpartum concerns. Injectable and topical hormones are usually the starting treatment, with hormone pellets generally considered later once a protocol is stable. Pellets stay in for three to four months and are harder to adjust than injectable or topical protocols, and oral progesterone capsules are also available. Labs are checked every 12 weeks during protocol optimization and every 6 months once hormones are stable. Most patients need two or three dose adjustments over the first four to six months before numbers and symptoms align.
Medical weight loss uses compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide with provider-supervised dosing, and phentermine and low-dose naltrexone are also offered. Every weight loss patient works with a licensed medical provider, and treatment plans are adjusted based on labs and progress. Care includes comprehensive lab work, body composition analysis, nutrition coaching and ongoing follow-up. GLP-1 programs start at $200 per month, and the range runs from $200 to $900 depending on medication, dose and goals. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies, and the clinic does not prescribe brand-name Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound directly. The clinic cites clinical trial averages of up to 22 percent body weight reduction for brand-name tirzepatide and notes that individual results vary.
Other offerings include peptide therapy, with peptides sourced through licensed compounding pharmacies, and IV therapy and vitamin injections at both clinics. InBody body composition scanning is also available. Medical aesthetics cover Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers, BBL Hero IPL photofacials, MOXI laser resurfacing, Forever Bare laser hair removal, EXION RF microneedling, EMFACE facial toning and Emsculpt NEO body contouring, with package pricing for multi-session treatments. Pelvic health treatments with Emsella and EMFEMME 360 are listed at the Centennial clinic, and pelvic floor therapy is offered at Alamosa. Skincare includes ZO Skin Health products and treatments, and the Alamosa clinic also offers nutrition coaching with meal plans and fitness coaching.
Lab testing is ordered through Quest, LabCorp and Access Medical Labs, with no physician referral required. Most patients are established through telehealth without an in-person visit, though some controlled medications may require an initial in-person appointment. The Centennial clinic is open Wednesday to Friday and the Alamosa clinic is open Monday to Wednesday and Friday, both 9 AM to 5 PM.
The clinic favors proactive, data-driven care, with a thorough evaluation, transparent pricing and long-term planning in place of rushed visits. It aims for personalized, evidence-based care that addresses root causes rather than only symptoms, and it does not offer quick fixes.
The Centennial clinic has private treatment rooms and on-site parking, and the Alamosa clinic sits downtown with free street parking in front and nearby.
