Deesignz Lash & Brow Studio

Deesignz was founded in 2015 by Dee Sandrick to provide ongoing education through continuing education courses, and it has grown into a studio that also offers paramedical tattooing, facials and injectables. The salon describes its lash and brow work as advanced and elite-level. The studio is at 708 East 31st Street in LaGrange Park and is also listed as Deesignz Artistry LLC.

Lash services include lash extensions and lash lifts. Brow services cover brow lamination, grooming, lifting, tinting, shaping and henna brows, along with brow and lip tattoos. Paramedical work is aimed at skin changed by surgery, trauma, medical conditions or scarring, with options such as areola restoration, scar revision and cover up, stretch mark and inkless camouflage, 3D realism, and acne scar and healed scar work. Paramedical tattooing begins with a booked consultation, and those bookings are by appointment only. Medical aesthetic treatments include microneedling and dermaplaning, and advanced skincare facials are offered. Botox and fillers are given at the studio by its nurse practitioner and registered nurse.

Beauty in Alchemy is an independently owned self-care space inside the studio in Plaza 31, offering personalized clean beauty treatments and non-invasive modalities. For paramedical work, pigment is expected to fade 20% to 40% during healing, and full healing takes 4 to 6 weeks. Aftercare includes ointment twice a day for 7 to 10 days, no soap or cosmetics on the area for 5 days, and no direct sun or tanning beds for 6 weeks. Refunds are not issued once a paramedical service is complete, though some clients need an additional appointment to increase color retention.

The training academy holds small classes with hands-on work on live models, mentorship, and business and marketing education. It is an IDFPR-approved continuing education sponsor for cosmetologists, cosmetology educators, estheticians and esthetician educators, and a state-approved continuing education provider. Courses include lash extensions, henna brow training, brow lamination, advanced skincare, permanent makeup, fundamental lip blushing, lash and medical esthetic training, and brow courses that award CEU hours. A paramedical course is listed as coming soon. Listed prices are 350 dollars for one day, 1,750 dollars for one week and 7,000 dollars for one month. The academy describes its education as industry-leading and states it has over 27 years of beauty industry experience. Registrations are nonrefundable, one transfer to the next class of the same course is free if a student is ill and gives 24 hours notice, and students who miss a class without notice forfeit their seat and payment.
