Education is central to how the salon works. It serves as the education hub for D+D Group, with Salon Drew instructors also taking part. Each stylist is offered more than 20 advanced cutting and coloring classes a year, and an in-house associate program provides monthly sessions. The education calendar is set a year in advance, and the salon brings in five to seven national educators each year. Stylists complete an ongoing education program, and the salon says its work is built on that continued training.

A visit begins with a conversation about the client's lifestyle and goals before any styling is done. New clients of a stylist should add consultation time to their booking. First-time highlight or balayage clients, and anyone who has not visited in more than six months, are asked to book a Full Highlight plus gloss/toner. Extension services all begin with a consultation. Prices follow a level system that reflects stylist experience, education and demand. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice.
