Dawn Patrice Skincare is led by Dawn Patrice, who holds a license as an esthetician and another as a massage therapist. She received her esthetics license in 2006 and then worked for a year under the head esthetician at a day spa in San Francisco. In 2008 she opened her own studio downtown in San Francisco. The business now works out of a private garden studio in Terra Linda, a neighborhood in San Rafael.

Facials are the core of the practice. The Studio is a 60-minute facial that includes enzyme exfoliation, extractions as needed, high-frequency treatment, hand-selected masks and peels, ionized oxygen, and a full-spectrum LED panel, and it suits all skin types including sensitive and acne-prone skin. The Signature runs 80 minutes and adds enzyme massage with steam, microcurrent, ultrasound, and an ionized oxygen panel. Both can be upgraded with a diamond microdermabrasion add-on, and The Signature also offers an O2 serum infusion add-on. New clients start with a 30-minute in-person consultation for $50, and that deposit is applied toward a series.

Two series address more specific goals. The Clinical Acne Series is six weekly treatments of 60 to 70 minutes, booked 7 to 10 days apart, aimed at acne and acne scarring. It includes a skin type evaluation, peels, extractions, high-frequency, custom masks, red or blue LED light therapy, lifestyle coaching, and topical skincare recommendations, and costs $1,500. The business says most clients see significant clearing within weeks 3 to 6. The Lift & Refine Series, priced at $1,650, uses diamond microdermabrasion, light vibration, serums, oxygen infusion, microcurrent, and LED, with sessions about 10 to 14 days apart. Clients starting either series should have had at least one facial first and are asked to stop retinol or exfoliating products 5 to 7 days beforehand.

Booking terms are set out in advance. Online bookings require prepayment and a credit card on file holds appointments. Changes need 48 hours' notice, or one week for Saturday appointments, and clients may reschedule once with that notice. Shorter-notice changes and no-shows are charged the full service amount. Series packages are non-refundable, and gratuities are not included in series bookings. Prepaid packages and gift certificates are redeemed through a separate booking option. According to the business, MARIN Magazine named it a Best of Marin facial in 2023 and 2025, and it was featured in the December 2021 issue of Haute Living Magazine.

Treatments are built around each client's skin, with clinical-grade products used for customized regimens. The practice pairs skincare with a whole-body view of wellness to help results last.
